I changed computers and created a login to save bookmarks, it looked like this was accomplished but now on my new computer and after I login in Firefox it asks me to import but fire fox is not an option.

Thank you for the reply Dropa, I created a login and backed up my account with Bookmarks and passwords etc.. I waited 24 hours and then did a computer restore to original settings and removed all apps and documents to start clean. The idea was that I would be able to down load firefox again and then login and still have access to my 9 years of saved passwords and Bookmarks. This is what I am trying to accomplish.

Sync isn't designed to be used as a backup, but merely is meant to sync data between connected devices. Best is always to backup your personal data locally.

You can install the About Sync extension in Firefox 72 and newer on desktop to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension.

Close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for possible about pages).
