The book mark folders cannot be sorted. I dont want to sort the book marks in the folders but the folders themselves. why should i have to go into Organize bookmarks to do it when it is forgotten as soon as I exit. That is stupidl

Chosen solution

Sorry, that is the way "Organize Bookmarks" works. It is a temporary sort for that view only, which persists for only as long as that Library window is open.

https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Sorting+bookmarks

to open the Bookmarks sidebar, then open the Bookmarks Menu folder. Right-click the Bookmarks Menu folder and select Sort by Name. That will alpha sort the primary folder level first, followed by all the "loose" bookmarks that are in the Bookmarks Menu folder, which contains all your bookmarks except for the ones in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder. To sort further, you can do it folder by folder within the primary level.

If so many users are having the same problem, now 14, is Firefox (Mozilla) considering an update to the Bookmarks Organizer??

You can also right click a folder in the left pane in the Bookmarks Manager to sort that folder (Sort By Name).
