I am attempting to clear the information in the location drop down. I've clear history data and have attempted to delete the information directly but I still find the websites listed.

How can I get rid of the information?

Yes - I can see that "hides" things but doesn't remove the history.

A little more investigation and I've discovered it is offing me items that are in my bookmarks, not just history.

Hello mfreeman,

I had the same problem and got rid of it deleting the "places.sqlite" file. Make a backup of bookmarks before doing that. I use Vista and this file is located at "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\name.default". Hope this work for you too.
