I re-installed Firefox yesterday and after adding a bunch of add-ons, I found that the icons in the Bookmarks menu were not saving. They're just showing the standard blank paper.

Here are my installed add-ons, just in case:

The rest:

It's really just a minor inconvenience. Hope you can help me. Thanks.

This issue can be caused by an extension (Ghostery?) that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I just found out that I had set Firefox to automatically start in a private browsing session. I don't know how that happened, but the problem is fixed now. Thanks for the quick reply, and sorry if I wasted your time.
