When opening a new tab with the middle click, it at-times jumps to the new tab when I set it not to.

Normally, when i use the middle-click to open a link in a new tab, it just opens and loads in the background. However, recently, it sometimes jumps to the new tab and sometimes just loads in the background. I have already made sure that the "switch to new tab" function is unticked.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
