Recently when I open Firefox, the font is very small, I know I can use text zoom to enlarge but don't want to do that for every web page so how do I set the font larger permanently

You can use one of these extensions to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages:

I installed the add on suggested, but nothing changed. I know how to manually increase the font, but I don't want to change the font every time I open a web page.
