I have used firefox for many years as my default browser. Last week I upgraded both lap top and desktop to version 5.0.1. both machines run win7 with SP1.The laptop 64bit still gives me a browser with a line for entering http addresses and with a "back button" on it to use when on line. The desktop which is quad core usesI think) 32bit version and both have 4GB memory . This comes up on screen with nowhere to enter a url not, when a website or other programme is open a "back" button to return to the previous page. Entrering a url (such as my own website <flora.org.gg>) in either AVG or yahoo search boxes give a list of options one of which is a link direct to the the url and opens it, but with no way of going back except the buttons I built into my own website and none at all for other sites. I have searched your help data and found exactly this problem with a link, but as soon as I got the link open it vanished from screen. how can I get the main bar back ? I tried dragging on the | bar on the yahoo search box button as suggested in one of the hints, but got no response. Brian
