I'm trying to PERMANENTLY disable the "Java deployment toolkit" plugin. I think this is the plugin that is causing my version of Firefox to crash so often. I've tried disabling it, but it keeps on enabling itself! What do I do? Please help. I would love it if my internet would stop constantly crashing.

Ensure that your Firefox is up-to-date, and maybe consider switching from 3.6to the current release Firefox 9. If you have Java installed also ensure that is up-to-date,and note that afaik you only need the one version, but sometimes multiple versions may be installed.

Check in both the Firefox plugins, and using your Windows XP OS Control panel options.
