back, forward, stop and reload buttons are visible but do not work. Just updated to 5, using XP.
The icons are on the toolbar but they do not work. The color of the icons are a lighter gray rather than the darker gray like the home icon which does work. I also have the Yahoo bar on this, seems like Firefox and Yahoo are always at odds with each other.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
Not really helping me out. Profile manager? Can't even begin to find that, not a computer programmer here just normal Joe frustrated by the "newer and better" FF that does not work.
You can access the Firefox Profile Folder via
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder

You can also look at the steps listed here:
That folder does bot exist.
"not"
Also, It actually was working last night but again not today. There are also two top borders of the page which on my computer is blue. This has the minimize, maximize and end icons in the far right corner. So there are two bars and six icons. When it was working last night there was just the one, everything looked and worked fine. What the heck is wrong with this thing?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Fixed it with restart with add-ons disabled, had to pay some online guru for this. Firefox really blows sometimes.
