Right-click the Firefox installer and choose "Run as Administrator".

Once I downloaded the update, I was unable to right click "run as administrator" from the exe file. How I was finally able to update to the newest version was to:

  • click the start menu
  • click search
  • type in firefox
  • scroll down to Firefox setup 7.0.1.exe
  • right click and select 'run as administrator'

The rest was 'easy as pie'. Hope this helps those that had the same trouble I did.
