I use my home PC to connect to my server at work over a VPN. To do this it uses Java. I recently upgraded Firefox to 7.0.1 and since then I can't get the VPN connection to work - almost as if Java is not responding. I'm running Windows 7. Have tried re-installing Java and Firefox and all its add-ons/extensions with no difference. I can't make the VPN connection with IE either, but then I had never tried before so I don't know if it ever worked. Curiously, my other machine running XP works fine with the same Firefox release. Any known Java/Windows 7 / Firefox issues? Can I revert to an older version of Firefox to try? Any other suggestions to try?

Further to this, followed another thread and downloaded Firefox 6 to try but that didn't work either. Then tried IE again and found that the 64 bit version did not work but Eureka! the old 32 bit version does. So is there an issue with 64 bit versions of browsers or Java does anyone know?
