my firefox default adress bar search engine keeps changing to damn yahoo and i did absoluteluy everything to change it and i can't please help

i tryede absolutely everything prefs.j changing keyword.url reinstalling and the damn adress bar default search engine is allways changing to yahoo how can i fix this to gogle please help!!!!

the "search settings plugin" might have gotten added. it will be there in your processes as "searchsettings.exe". Locate it and terminate it. This solved the problem for me.
