Passwords not being saved in 9.0.1, never had this problem with previous versions

When one logs into a site which requires a user name/ password, eg Bmail, firefox usually asks if user wants this data saved. This version is not doing so, and I have no passwords tho my password and master password fot firefox have been set. Never had this problem before

Chosen solution

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
