Hi Andries,

Have you tried going to Tools > Options > Applications and setting the default program for the .cap file type? Take a look at the Applications panel - Set how Firefox handles different types of files Knowledge Base article for detailed steps.

Hopefully this helps!

Hi Matt,

I've tried that thing, but as the help-function explains:

"The Applications panel has limited functionality for editing. You can change the action for an existing file type but you cannot add or remove file types. Entries are added automatically when you download files and select actions for them."

So I can't add a .cap file to the list and that's the essential thing of my problem I think

I have found a kind of workaround: - right-click the link - choose -> save link as - go to the saved .cap-file and double-click it.

As this workaround is a bit tedious, I am still looking for the real solution
