Can you play videos directly at vimeo.com? Can IE play the video on the site where it is not working in Firefox?

I just checked vimeo. Yes I can watch videos there from firefox v12. Yes I can watch the video from IE from the site where it does not work in firefox v12. I can watch it over and over without clearing anything.

Is that an alert from the web server of that page or from other (security, proxy) software?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

The error msg appears to be from vimeo plus. I got the same result in safe mode.
