Is there a way to replace bookmarks with copy/paste, like say, from Chrome, and have duplicates auto-replace?

What I mean is, when I am importing from Chrome or another Firefox browser, I want all my bookmarks to be there, yes. Sync is fantastic for that, but for in Bookmarks themselves, I would like to know if website duplicates replace themselves.

Example: I imported FF bookmarks to Chrome, then used Chrome for a while, adding new bookmarks and the like. I then imported the Chrome bookmarks back into Firefox since I had new bookmarks through Chrome. Do the old bookmarks that were still in FF and unchanged in Chrome, replace themselves?

It'd be much more handy if they do, so there is less of a hassel go back in and manually sort everything all over again, duplicate folders+bkmrks and all.
