Everytime I try to see a you tube video my macbook which runs on Snow leopard is getting too hot. I checed on the utilities and found that the firefox plugging process ( shock wave flash ) is using too much CPU.

Try disable hardware acceleration, see how to in : Managing the Flash plugin "Troubleshooting-Playing Flash videos makes Firefox hang" , and check it again.
