Chosen solution

That crash report is quite a few weeks old and related to PDF use and had an uptime of 352 seconds. It is probably unrelated to the current problem.

If you are having a startup crash that is not cured by trying safe mode and a new clean profile just about the only alternative is to re-install Firefox.

Before doing that it is worth considering is the system crashing for any other reason, do other applications crash, possibly Firefox is not the only cause of crashes.

Sorry not much that can be done without a crash ID.

  • see also Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly)
  • Please try again: Enter about:crashes in the Firefox location bar (that's where you enter your website names) and press Enter. You should now see a list of submitted crash reports.
    • If you have problems with obtaining the crash ID can you explain what is happening when you try the above

If you can not start in any profile you may have little alternative but to reinstall firefox. If doing so take care to not delete personal information contained in the firefox Profile. I would in fact suggest you back that up first by locating and copying your profile, see

Put the information somewhere safe, not within a firefox application or profile path.

I can't get the application to open at all. I just see this error window. Maybe I do have to reinstall Firefox.

I was able to find the crash IDs. The most recent one listed is Crash ID: bp-e55bc79d-4416-4098-b2d1-0ce4c2120329
