Trouble loading Firefox. Have message that states Download is complete. Click on exe file, click on run. Timepiece flips a few times, but no Firefox icon.

I have downloaded Firefox, at least it appears as it has downloaded, as message is received stating it is downloaded. I click on .exe and I receive the "run" screen. I click on run and the timepiece flips a number of times and then stops. No icon, no Firefox listing in Programs.

have a look at this article: installing firefox on windows. Do I understand it correctly, you get to point 3 and past it, but not to point 4?

Thank you SMO for your suggested fix. No, I do not get to "point 3." I have been able to get to the "run" tab, but after a few moments nothing further occurs. I do not get to the Mozilla Firefox Setup Wizard screen. The download appears to have taken place, but the installation program is not running.

You can try to disable your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes the installer run properly.
