I deleted a website from my saved password list but now I want Firefox to remember this website password. How do I fix this?

I deleted a website from my remembered website/password list because I had changed the password and Firefox kept putting in my old password. Now I want Firefox to remember the website with my current password but Firefox never asks me to save it.

That website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.

You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

You can check if there are really no more passwords saved from that website and that there aren't any exceptions.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: Exceptions
  • Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

I have a similar issue: I inadvertantly clicked on "Never Remember Password for This Site," and would like to correct that. The link above to Mozillazine, to be honest, made no sense to me, and was no help. Is there a way to manually add a site to the Remembered Password list? I use Firefox 18.0.1, and Apple 10.8.2.
