I have Firefox as my server but not my home page. My home page is set up to open in Gmail, so i want to keep it that way, but i also want to use the "Firefox" tab described in your "Getting Started" tutorial, and I have no tab on the tool bar, or anywhere in the top segment of the server window. I tried clicking on the round icon with the fox but of course that wasn't it and i noticed in the tutorial that the tab is a rectangle. Please help if you can.

Thank you!

Hi evonn,

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure that I understand your question correctly. I understand that you want to keep Gmail as your homepage, but I am not sure what you mean by setting Firefox as your server.

Are you trying to access the Firefox "start page"? If so, you can do by opening a new tab, and typing about:home on the address bar, and pressing Enter.

Please let us know if this solves your issue, or if you have any other questions.

If this is not what you're trying to accomplish, can you please provide a link to the tutorial that you mentioned, as well as what subsection of the tutorial you are referring to, and we'll be able to help you.

Thanks!!

- Ralph

Hi evonn,

Maybe the feature you want to use is "Pin Tab"? That will enable you to have a permanent tab on the left side so that is always available. You can find out more about Pinned Tabs in the article below.

Pinned Tabs - keep favorite websites open and just a click away

Please let me know if this answers your question, I would be happy to help further if you give me more details.

The orange Firefox menu button is hidden by default on Windows XP.

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox menu button if the Menu Bar is hidden.

You can hide or make the Menu bar visible via "View > Toolbars" or via "Firefox > Options" or right-click a toolbar.

If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.
