My ISP is Optimum aka Cablevision. All of a sudden after years of service, I am told that I need to clear my browser history each time I access my email (or go to Internet Explorer). Does this make sense to you? Have you heard this complaint before regarding Optimum?

I have never heard of this before.

Please ask your internet service provider why this is required.

I would contact them for you, via chat or email, but an account is required.

A possibility could be to access that email page in a Private Browsing mode window.
In Private Browsing mode Firefox doesn't keep any data, so there is no data stored permanently on disk.

Thanks for the suggestion. What is the menu path that I take to activate "private browsing"?
