you know the window that pops up when you download firefox from the official site. the progress bar is divided into two sections: download and install. obviously, when the download completes, automatic installation takes place. well, just before the download completes, at the last MB, instead of finishing, it just goes back to the start of the progess bar, i.e., the download process just begins again.

Download and save the Firefox installer to the desktop and start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon.
