Every time I launch Firefox, the browser home page says I am not using the latest version, update now. I just updated with that horrid Yahoo toolbar. I want to get rid of that but I cannot get rid of it without getting rid of Firefox. Do I have to go back to using Internet Explorer?

hello, please start by resetting firefox, which should address the "outdated" message...

in order to get rid of yahoo, please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove the toolbar.
also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted yahoo software from there.
finally, run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.
