How do I clear out the credentials in Settings for a particular website? The tech guy at that website said to do this to solve an issue.
According to my friendly tech guy, "this seems to be your browser trying to pre-populate a value into" a particular field on 2-3 forms on the website. The word "Password" pops up when I click on an email address field to enter an email address. I can still enter the address, and it's accepted, but the pop-up is confusing to me and other users, causing some to enter a password, which is not accepted. The advice is "go into your browser's settings and clear out the credentials that are saved for www.flashconsign.com and it should not happen anymore." I don't know where to find Firefox's Settings, and once I do find it, I'm not sure I'll know how to proceed. I'd appreciate some help! I'm using a PC with Windows 7.

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
- Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
- Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
- Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Did you save a password for the site? There is something funny in their form, where the "real" password field is hidden until you tab or click into the fake one on the form. (Screen shot attached.) I don't really understand it, but the fact that it is hidden may be confusing Firefox's password manager.
You can clear a saved login here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Security > "Saved Passwords" button
