Why is AirAsia flight booking impossible with firefox while Chrome works well. Even the airline says I cannot use Firefox.ks ok
I tried to make a (Thai) domestic booking on AirAsia's website (in English) . All went well, although when one makes an error, the website does force that a lot of data needs to be re-entered, but that's AirAsia causing the problem. However, once I got to the payment section where I actually keyed in the credit card details, the website goes back to earlier booking details and then went completely senseless. I then called the AirAsia call centre where I was told Firefox doesn't work and I should use Chrome. When I bought this (Win8.1) laptop I had removed both Internet Explorer and Chrome with the help of PCdecrapify, as I only trust Firefox (and made a Paypal donation). In order to book the flights, I was forced to re-install Chrome. Probably I'll remove it once back in the UK. Actually booking a flight on AirAsia with Chrome did work very well. Generally Firefox works great, but there must be thousands of travelers who try to book flights on AirAsia from their Firefox browser, only to get stuck in the end. Perhaps worthwhile to test Firefox with AirAsia.com bookings.

Use this link to check that your plugins are up-to-date. If any are listed as unknown or research, do not worry about them.
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
- Clear the Cache and
- Remove Cookies
Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to.
Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar.
- Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
- Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.
If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
It's interesting that the airline told you it already is aware of a problem using Firefox on their site. There are some employees and volunteers at Mozilla which reach out to popular sites to help them become compatible. One place to report problems with websites is here:

One also can file a "bug" in the tracking system, but that may be above and beyond the call of duty...
