The topmost option shows your SYNC address. Tap it.

This will open the Sync settings. Select 'Manage Accounts' option.

Choose delete account. There you go !!

Your answer pointed me in the general direction but it appears that the selection path to make the suggested change is now differe

On the latest level of Firefox (47.0), the directions changed slightly.

1. Select the Top Right Hamburg to display that functionality list. 2. Select "Options" listed, select "Sync". 3. On the Sync screen select "Manage Account", 4. On the Manage Account select "Delete Account".

However, before I found this process, I set up an new account on Firefox Windows. And uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox on the Android device. Consequently, the incorrect account disappeared and the new one was displayed.

Thanks for the suggestion. It was the most complete of all the solutions that had been posted.
