MAC operating system, ver Sierra 10.12.2 and Thunderbird 50.0b3. Each time I open Thunderbird a pop up asks to check to see if TB is the default mail program. Is it the beta version?

This bug has been fixed in the latest release version, 45.6, but the fix may not have propagated yet to beta version 50.
