new kind of malware: when I try to delete the msg OR to move it to trash, I can't, & I get error msg "not enough disk space to download new msgs"
Two (so far) incoming bogus emails, both from addresses on t-online.de. I suspect malware, but obviously don't want to try it out.
One msg has a .doc attachment; the other has a link to google drive. I can't delete either message or to move it from Inbox to the local Trash folder: the operation fails, and I get a Thunderbird diagnostic saying that I don't have enough disk space to download new messages. Clearly false: I can move or delete other messages, and in any case the second of these is only 5.8KB. I was, however, able to move them to another folder, and then move them again from there to local Trash. (I still have them, in case you need to see them.) But what would prevent me from deleting a message? Thanks so much for your help!

What is your anti-virus software? Chances are it's messing with Thunderbird mail files. It is therefore recommended to create an exception in your anti-virus software for the Thunderbird profile folder.
For more information about the profile location see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird
