My husband's laptop crashed and he is using my old one. Whenever I add a bookmark in Firefox, it shows up on his laptop as well as mine and vice versa. Also when I use Firefox to search in Google, my searches show up on his history and vice versa. We want this to stop happening if possible.

As a quick fix, we have made separate folders with our names on them to store our bookmarks in. But when he was searching for a gift for me, it was no surprise because his searches showed up on my computer too.

If you are using sync, that is your problem. If you both are using the same Firefox profile, that is the problem.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player or remove it using these links; http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html Uninstall Flash Player | Windows http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Thank you! It was the sync problem. I didn't even remember that I had ever signed up for a Firefox account. My old laptop had my email address as the account profile address and so did my new laptop. Sync was turned on. I disconnected my email address from the old laptop and then signed in on that laptop with my husband's email. Then I tested it by adding a bookmark to my list and looked to see if it was on his list and it wasn't.
