Is there a setting to automatically empty trash folders when closing Tbird?
Am using Tbird on linux computer, both new to me. I have 5 accounts and don't want to have to open each one just to empty trash. I've had other email clients that delete trash automatically when closing but can't find an option for that.

Account settings > sever settings Empty trash on exist.
For IMAP accounts also expunge inbox on exit.
