Without knowing what you are rying to download from where, it is near impossible to recreate what you are seeing. Is the file in the "downloads" folder on your Android device?

Greetings,

I have this problem too on Android. Tried downloading pdfs, microsoft doc, jpeg/png/tiff and zip/rar. Additionally, I have set Facebook to download through Firefox and it does not work too.

What happens is, download is starting and shown on notification panel but it just does not start. The bar keeps on going from left to right like its about to start, forever. I left it open for a day since it was a small file (2mb pdf) but it didnt downloaded it.

What do i mean by that is to apk vid anything but that actually solve the problem but one last question can we still change the downloader or no?

Seburo said

Not at present, no. The new Firefox for Android uses the built in Android downloader but this is something that I understand is due to be looked at in a future update.

As quoted above, wjisbw (the thread owner) indicated that his original question was solved and his last question was answered by seburo.

As I subsequently wrote To David Ross and anyone else having a similar issue:

See Mozilla Support rules and guidelines on posting support requests. Please ask a new question since this thread is for helping wjisbw (the original poster and thread owner) and is marked "solved". You can use the following link to post a new question in the Firefox for Android support forum: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/mobile/form

I'll close this thread.
