space bar moves cursor to front of sentence
I prefer Firefox browser on my computer - currently using 96.0.1
a month or so ago, when logged in to godaddy email workspace, the subject line cursor won't stay in place.
I'll type a word then space resulting in the cursor jumping to the front of the line of text. Sometimes it jumps after the first letter but always with the space bar and only in the subject line of this website.
If I type a word in the subject line, then space, the cursor moves to the front of the line of text... if I continue typing there and use the space bar the cursor doesn't jump. But if I move the cursor behind the first word and space, type another word and space it jumps again.
I worked with godaddy on the issue... after troubleshooting various browsers (this only happens when using Firefox) and other things they asked me to do they point the finger at Firefox. I hope this can be figured out, I do not want to use Chrome for email. thanks!

Normal form fields do not do anything fancy when you press the space bar (as you probably notice everywhere else you type). However, a space could be used to trigger a script that tries to recognize text for some purpose and I suspect GoDaddy might be using such a script. It doesn't really make sense in a Subject field, though.
If you haven't already, could you test in a clean Firefox profile:
New Profile Test
This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test your problem site(s).
Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.
Take a quick glance at the page and make a mental note of which Profile has this notation: This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted. That is your current default profile.
Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like Jan2022, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.
Firefox will switch your default profile to the new one, so click the Set as Default Profile button for your regular one to avoid an unwanted surprise at your next startup.
Scroll down to Jan2022 and click its Launch profile in new browser button.
Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.) Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system to get a clean test.
Does GoDaddy mail work any better in the new profile?
When you are done with the experiment, you can close the extra window without affecting your regular Firefox profile. (Jan2022 will remain available for future testing.)

Thanks! this was easy to perform and check however the same issue occurred in the new profile.
Today in the subject line... the cursor jumps to in front of the line after the first letter is typed... it's not consistently doing this, sometimes it waits for the first word and space bar. What is the fix?
The problem with diagnosing this is not having access to a site that exhibits the problem.
Sorry if this sounds like a dumb suggestion but in case you are too fast for the site, what if you give the site a little time to catch up with you. Two thoughts:
(1) Click in the subject line and wait 2 seconds before typing anything
(2) After GoDaddy makes the subject line available, wait 2 seconds before clicking in it but then start typing immediately
Do either of those work correctly?
jscher2000 thank you, those are solid suggestions but changes nothing.
the blank email can sit for an hour and still has the cursor jump issue in the subject line only.
Okay, the reason I thought of timing was the observation that sometimes the cursor jumps left after typing the first letter, without waiting for a space.
I don't have a GoDaddy email account, so hopefully someone else that does can get hands on and play with it.
