Hi team

I notice an interesting difference in TB's version 102 compared to the former version 91. This is running on Ubuntu 22.04 and at the backend there are only CalDAV based calendars (no local calendar defined). I am using the Today pane with the calendar's upcoming events in the upper part and the tasks below.

When adding a new task via the "click here to add a new task", choosing the name of a new task (i.e. Test3), there is no indication that the task has actually been added. It is not showing this new task in the pane at all (which is clearly different to TB version 91 where that new task appeared in the list).

If I open the task window (tab), I can see the new task is there but I won't see it in Today's pane. In the task window (tab) view I have chosen to show the name of the calendar where each task has been added to and the newly created task is shown in the correct (CalDAV) calendar. The (test) tasks created show a default start date (today 8am) and end date (tomorrow 6pm).

The tasks will eventually appear in the Today pane but I have not paid attention when exactly. I know that they are there next morning when planning my day but right now when testing, neither a manually initiated calendar synchronisation nor even a full Thunderbird restart will show the task. Trying to work in the pane (i.e. change sort order) to do some kind of refresh for the pane does not show the new task(s) either.

Thanks for reading.

replying to myself .... I must have accidentally set the default for new tasks to start next day hence they correctly will not appear in Today's pane! Changed this now and all works as before and as expected. Stupid me, sorry for the noise. Please close this request/ticket. Thanks for an excellent product!
