i got yet another firefox newest download that was supposed to help with my pix and downloading of vids..it did not..why

i look at a lot of vids and pix in google reader. 1) can no longer download the vids to real player 2) my pix download but no longer upload to google picasa. i have gone back to a time when i did not have the lastes firfox and all was btetter, but when i would leave and return. the lastes version of firefox was no on my machine..this is a mess and annoying.
