Since the last update I haven't been able to go directly to www.google.com (or .ca) and I haven't been able to search using the search bar. I can still go to my gmail and google maps, and the only way to get to a google search page is to open one of those then click the "search" tab up top. Once I do that it works fine, but it won't load the website? I miss that toolbar too.

You can check this:

Do you mean the search bat on the Navigation Toolbar or the search bar on a web page (e.g. about:home)?

Do you still have the Navigation Toolbar with the location (URL bar) and the Google search bar visible?

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

  • Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
  • If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

Hi, that is the toolbar I'm talking about. I can see it just like before, it's just that it won't go anywhere when I use it for google. If I switch it to one of the other options, like Yahoo or Wikipedia, it works fine.
