After updating firefox I can no longer post photos in vbulletin forums. I'm told this is a compatibilty issue with AJAX. Is there any way I can fix this?

When I click on the add photo icon the new window pops up. Typically you paste the image URL in the window and then click OK. When I click OK nothing happens. It's not just hanging either. It's like the connection just doesn't work.

Does the site indicate which version of vBulletin it is running? Often this will be in the footer area of the main forum list page.

Is it the dialog to attach an image to your post, or to insert a link to an external site?

The version is 4.1.5 and the dialog is to insert a link to an external site.

I tested on vBulletin 4.2.0 and didn't run into any issues. However, the feature might work a little differently between 4.1.5 and 4.2.0.

Edit: I use the standard editor, rather than the WYSIWYG editor. As shown in the attached screen shot, I was using the option to having the image copied to the site. If you uncheck that, the URL you paste is instantly copied into your post between two BBcode tags. In other words:

[IMG]url[/IMG]

Switching to the WYSIWYG editor, it still works quickly, but the difference in how it works is harder to see.

I've just been typing in the tags myself - this solution isn't that much faster but it did work.
