I've tried starting in safe mode as you suggest and the page displays correctly. So to double check I disabled adblock plus and restarted FF and again the page displays correctly.

I had tried disabling adblock before, but although I started a new instance of FF I didn't shut down all instances.

Resolved: solution is either to disable adblock or to disable adblock on the specific page then shutdown and restart FF (all instances) :D
