The exact reason I got firefox over chrome was its very simple layout and nice look. But since the most recent update, it looks exactly like chrome and the Firefox bar in the corner is gone and replaced by things in the other.

I absolutely hate the new layout and now there isn't a browser that I like. Its all foggy and grey. It looks just like Chrome.

Im not the only one saying this, but can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEAASE bring back the previous look?

Thank you for trying the new Firefox. I'm sorry that you’re unhappy with the new design.

Firefox is a work in progress and your feedback is very important to us. Our support community is run by volunteers (like me) who work hard to help all Firefox users, but we can’t make changes to the design ourselves. Please help us improve Firefox by leaving feedback where the designers and engineers can see it: https://input.mozilla.org/en-US/feedback.

The interface you see in Firefox 29 is a major re-design (first one since Firefox 4) of Firefox's user interface called "Australis."

Here are a few suggestions for restoring the old design. I hope you’ll find one that works for you:

Or if you want to go back to a previous version, completely feel free to use the old, unsupported, and insecure versions of Firefox. Please remember that this puts your machine and personal data at an increased risk. You may then wish to mitigate that by having well rehearsed bare metal restore strategies or using a virtual machine.

I have Firefox installed on multiple computers, but this latest visual update is so bad that it makes me think about going back to Internet Explorer - and I haven't used that for personal browsing for years!

Saying "well, use Classic Theme Restorer" and other things like that is not addressing the actual problem, which is forcing users to switch to whatever look Mozilla happens to have decided on for a particular build. Telling people to go back to "the old, unsupported, and insecure versions of Firefox" is even worse. Rather than take bad advice like that, is there any reason I should not go to a different browser entirely, preferably one that actually listens to its users instead of dictating to them?

I already sent feedback to the effect that I hate the new look. I detest it even more than Chrome's interface, and that takes some doing. I don't have an issue with the occasional redesign, but it should not be horribly difficult to make the previous design available (as in, you can just switch between the two) in case people don't like it. Yet instead of Mozilla doing the simple, straightforward thing, what do I see? I see a Mozilla moderator telling people to install add-ons or else downgrade, which requires uninstalling and reinstalling the whole browser.

I will at least give this "Classic Theme Restorer" a try, but it isn't going to take more than a couple ham-handed efforts like this to convince me that it would be simpler to find a new browser.
