I have lots of mail folders, and I want them all to sort the same way. However I cannot find a way to set the sort order globally, only individually folder by folder. Isn't there a global sort order?

Are you familiar with the config editor in Thunderbird?
If you change the wrong setting, or set it incorrectly, you can render Thunderbird unusable, but if you are very careful...
