When I press and hold arrow keys down or up scrolling page has delay. Page scrolls a bit, then stops and then continues scrolling normally.

Greetings vanderjuu!

Thanks for using FireFox! I hope you are doing well :)

I tried to replicate your issue and my interaction with the browser was similar to what you mentioned. I then did some research on a possible solutions and I believe this is caused by smooth scrolling. After reading this, I disabled it, I experience no lag like you described previously.

To disable scrolling delay:

1. Copy: "about:preferences#advanced" (please leave out the ") 2. Paste "about:preferences#advanced" in the address for FireFox (where you type things like "google.com" 3. Look for "Use smooth scrolling" under the Browsing title 4. Uncheck "Use smooth scrolling"

If this does not rectify the issue, please reply here.

No, this does not help...

Alright! I believe it may be caused because there is scripting happening behind the website. It would be nice to have more information of your current setup, for example FireFox version ("about:") and what websites are causing this issue.

firefox is linux version 47.0 websites that causes it: all, haven't found yet website which doesn't do that and I'm using noscript addon, which should stop scripts, even if all scripts are disabled on website, this still happens.

Maybe I'm misunderstood... When I scroll webpage with arrow keys (up/down) by holding key, scroll does not happen immediately, page scrolls a little bit, then stops for like half a second or so and then continues scrolling. I want to disable that pause. :/
