I have Firefox installed on four devices (two desktops, one laptop, one Android phone). By the way, the two desktops and phone are synced together and have all the current information.

My main desktop computer has all of the bookmarks, passwords, etc that I want to sync to the other devices. I forgot my Firefox Sync password so from my laptop I reset it and synced. All of the bookmarks, etc, on the laptop synced to FIrefox on the secondary desktop , which is incorrect. I needed the laptop to sync with the data from the other devices.

As it stands now my laptop and secondary desktop have the incorrect sync data, using a new password. My main desktop and my phone have the correct data to sync, but using the previous password.

What do I need to do so that bookmarks, etc, on my main desktop is 'master' and pushes out it's bookmarks/passwords, etc out to the other devices? The three computers are using Firefox 52.02.2 (32-bit) on Windows 7 Professional. I don't know how to identify the version of Firefox on my Android device.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I performed extensive troubleshooting and this what I discovered:

1) I signed out of Firefox on all devices 2) I signed in to Firefox on my primary computer, which contains the booksmarks and passwords that I want distributed to other devices. 3) I then signed in to Firefox on two other devices and synced. Now they contain the bookmarks/passwords from the primary computer.

It would have been helpful if the info page for Firefox Sync stated: 1) if the account password is reset the device who first signs in to Firefox Sync will have their info distributed to the other devices. 2) that if the password is reset the saved bookmarks, passwords, etc are inaccessible when signing in again.

This may have been intuitive to some but from the Firefox Sync documentation none of the above was intuitive to me.

There is no 'master' as such. A change on one system is sent to all other systems on the sync.
