Can't insert image in text.
Got my computer back from the doctor, and now I can't Insert an image into the text box. When I've selected the image to insert, and click the OK button, I get an "Alert" box that says something that makes no sense to me: "If the image is relevant to the content of the document, you must supple alternate text that will appear in text-only browsers, and that will appear in other browsers when an image is loading or when image loading is disabled." Don't know what this is about or why it's showing up out of the blue. I just want to insert images like I've been doing for years. Help, please. And please tell me in plain english, if you can, not computer speak : )

The alert box appears when you Insert/Image... and the option 'Alternate text:' is selected in the Image Properties window, but you leave the box blank. Either enter something in the box or select 'Don't use alternate text'.

Dear sfhowes, That did the trick! Thank you, buddy. Why is it that these programs are peppered with sly snares to trip up us regular type peeps? Would it really harsh so many grins if they just made them simple or at least slightly more goof-proof? Or if they've just Got to stick in these oddments for a geeky rush, at least include a button in the corner that offers a friendly fix when one of us members of the local wildlife strolls by and gets our foot snagged, instead of making us pay homage to our brainy betters by hunting the web for a kind soul like you. Again, thanks for the hand.
