When I click to view a statement on my pennymac account, I get an all-black page.
I log on to my pennymac account, click "Statements and Documents" and then "Statements". This gives a list of files. I should be able to double-click a file to see it. Instead, the page is completely black, even if I wait a long time (pennymac is slow). This problem does NOT happen with Chrome. I think it also does NOT happen on my wife's computer, using Firefox (same version as me). I don't think it happens to me on any other site.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
- Clear the Cache and
- Remove Cookies
Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.
Type about:preferences<enter> in the address bar.
- Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select
Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
- Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from
Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.
If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). While you are in safe mode;
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
You will need to restart Firefox for this to take effect so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.,) and then perform these steps:
In Firefox 54 and below:
- Click the menu button and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac, Linux).
- Select the Advanced panel and the General tab.
- Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Close Firefox completely and then restart Firefox to see if the problem persists.
In Firefox 55 and above:
- Click the menu button and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac, Linux).
- Select the General panel.
- Under Performance, uncheck Use recommended performance settings. Additional settings will be displayed.
- Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Close Firefox completely and then restart Firefox to see if the problem persists.

I tried all this. At least I think I did. I took out all cookies related to the pennymac site, but not others. The option choices were not quite like you described them but Safe Mode and the various unchecking steps were OK. However, I still got a black page in Safe Mode, and when I closed and restarted, I still got black. I do not get black in Internet Explorer - I get it at first, I guess as it is loading the file, but it's OK after about a minute. I have not tried Chrome, but suspect it will be fine.
Please try updating your video card drivers. AMD Radeon R9 200 Series You should be doing so monthly as they are released. Last updated : 4-24-2017 https://support.amd.com/en-us/download Some error possibility's in what I am seeing with info sent. Old and or corrupted drivers can cause issues in the weirdest ways.
Please give that a try before we attempt other things. Note it shows here that your running Firefox Version 56.0.1 but the current version is 56.0.2 Can go to Help ---> About to try and force update. If not this time next time come back after rebooting from installing the video drivers.
