Thunderbird 52.8.0 – crashes on startup (if inet connected); possibly relates do Earlybird discontinuation

more options

Suddenly, my recent Earlybird stopped working, i.e. started to hang out on startup. It relates to communication on network since if inet is not available no hang outs were there. The same behavior I was been seeing on Thunderbird Beta and Release.

I found Earlybird is discontinued so I uninstalled it and upgraded (manually install actual) Beta and Release versions. Now the Release version (52.8.0) continues in hang out in Get Messages operation as before. Beta works fine.

What is wrong? How to fix it? Should I make a bug post?

I'd simply continue to use the beta. That version will be come production in a few weeks anyway

I shall do it like that anyway but I am more curious than unsatisfied.
