Firefox Homepage
I am trying to get Google to be my permanent search toolbar homepage it says search checker yahoo in the box have been typing in google and it want put in my bookmarks.

You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
