Can't open links in a new tab
I am using Windows 11 on a new HP laptop. I had the same issue on my old HP laptop with Windows 10. Sometimes, I cannot ctrl-click on a link and open it in a new tab. It always opens in the same tab. I know there are html links and javascript links. Is it possible that the person designing the page makes it not possible to open in a new tab?

Does middle-clicking the mouse wheel works in that case ?
Some prefs on the about:config page you can look at: Normal Links:
- browser.link.open_newwindow
1:current tab; 2:new window; 3:new tab;
JavaScript Links:
- browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction
0:divert always; 1:divert never; 2:divert no features - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-config-editor-firefox
I don't have a mouse. I only have a click pad. For the settings: New window is 3. New window restriction is 2.

What site?
I guess that is possible. I was asking if that was possible. This site is Craigslist. But I can open links in tabs with ctrl-click in Edge just not Firefox.
Does this work if you use the context menu ?
You can try browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction = 0 to divert all JavaScript links.
The context menu doesn't have an "open in new..." option. I think FF must offer something in their engine that CL is taking advantage of.
