I am trying to export my FF bookmarks using Organize Bookmarks --> export. However, it is only finding the IE favorites. How do I get it to export the FF bookmarks.

I want to export the bookmarks I see in my FF 3.6 browser. I follow the instructions of Bookmarks--> Organize Bookmarks--> export. However the list of Bookmarks it comes up with is from a Favorites folder that is associated with IE that I have on this computer. Why isn't it finding the FF BOOKMARKS exporting them. Are FF bookmarks just in some folder I can access?

Thanks

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Thanks Cor-el. I will pursue the suggestions at the links you gave. In the meantime, I have intalled the add-in XMARKS on all of my machines to achieve my original goal of getting the bookmarks from my desk top (where I use FF) to my old laptop (where I still use IE). I now have dynamic synching of the bookmarks on all of the machines...at least if it works a advertised.
