Thank you very much for your suggested solution to our problem. Although it did not completely resolved the problem it did reduce the number of crashes by Firefox. Because the interruptions occur so frequently we were able to determine that they were all coming from an application called”desktoptemperaturemonitor.zendesk.com”.

We went to their website and sent them an e-mail asking them how to stop the never ending attacks/interruptions of the browsers for the radio station we listen to and the whether bug application. We are still awaiting their reply.

Again thank you for your reply and we will post any reply from zendesk.com, if we receive one.

We tested 3 of the 6 crushed reports for the last 3 days. They all have the dtwxsvc.dll requested.

Hw do we stop the redirecting and crushing of Firefox?

more options

We have reached the point of complete and utter frustration.

We have followed all of the tips outlined on Firefox help pages including removing DTWXS VC.DLL from our computer but our problem of redirected webpages continues. We have also experienced the same problems when we put Firefox in the safe mode. Pages were attacked and redirected and Firefox crashed.

We have determined that advertisements sponsored by “desktoptemperaturemonitor” which we believe was created Zendesk.com continues to interrupt and redirect any radio station streaming browser that we have open and redirects the page to one of their multitude of advertisements. It also usually results in Firefox crashing.

If we close the browser for a streaming radio station and have a browser open for weather bug it will then attack redirect and usually crash Firefox. If we do not open either of the aforementioned browsers and have our e-mail account open it will attack and redirect that browser.

We installed Anti-Malware (Malwarebytes) in an effort to determine if these attacks and redirects were the result of malware. The malware purportedly found instances of malware however it did not resolve our problems. We also installed two Firefox recommended add-ons to block ads however that did not resolve the problem.

If anyone knows how to stop ”desktop temperature monitor” from attacking and redirecting our webpages we would sincerely appreciate their help.

We purchased the software recommended and unfortunately within several minutes after installing the software and booting up our browser the advertisements from “desktoptemperaturemonitor” redirected our browser to one of their advertisements. Firefox subsequently crashed.

Thank you for the suggestion, we continue to be open to any suggestions or fixes to eliminate “desktoptemperaturemonitor” from our computer .
