Quantum does not save my password, although I have all settings correct.
I think it's all said in the headline. It doenst matter how often I type a password, Quantum doens not remember, just the username. In the settings I checked "save password". I tried to restart my mac, updated the mac, emptied cache, restart quantum...nothing worked. I have to type my password everytime I want to login at my favorite accounts.

Hi !
Just in case you haven't checked this setting : Would you please make that you're not in permanent Private Browsing mode :
3-bar menu (or 'Tools') => Options => Privacy & Security => under 'History' => Firefox will : choose : 'Use custom settings for history' Uncheck : 'Always use private browsing mode'
And in Options => Privacy & Security => under 'Logins': make sure that 'Remember logins for sites' is checked.
Also see : Usernames and passwords are not saved
Is this about storing the username and password in the Password Manager or about the website remembering you?
Note that a detail like a website remembering you (log you in automatically) is stored in a cookie.
You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you:
- you can create an "Allow" exception to keep specific cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now": Exceptions
Let the cookies expire when Firefox is closed to make them session cookies instead of using "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the cookies.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: Keep until: "I close Firefox"
You can create an "Allow" exception to keep specific cookies.
Make sure that you do not clear cookies and Site Preferences if you use "Clear history when Firefox closes".

Actually it is about storing username and password in the Password Manager. It's still empty, although I clicked hundred times "store password" when I logged in to somewhere. Tried everything you said, unfortunately still no saved passwords.

According to your screenshot you don't use the Password Manager - 'Use Password Manager' ('Master-Passwort verwenden') is not checked .....
Try to rename/remove logins.json and key3.db in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
If that didn't help then rename/remove secmode.db as well.

I deleted all three files, restarted Fiefox and unfortunaltely it did not work. There are still no saved passwords visible in the password manager, altough I checked the box "save log-in dates and passwords". No exeptions. No master-password.
What was the third file in your case if you remember since I mentioned only two?
Did logins.json had a .corrupt file extension (logins.json.corrupt)?
When you rename these files with Firefox closed then you lose all passwords, but you should be able to save new password when prompted.
QUANTUM ONLY REMEMBERS SOME passwords and logins - unchecked private browsing - ALL other settings are where they are supposed to be - Icon asking if want to remember login/password will pop up for some web-sites and not others ??? WHY ???
